Meet Our Calgary Therapists
Michelle Bazin, Registered Psychologist
Certified EMDR Therapist | Gottman Level 3 Couples Therapist | Flash Technique Practitioner
Michelle works with individuals and couples navigating trauma, emotional intensity, and recurring patterns. She helps clients understand these patterns and develop practical ways to increase stability, connection, and choice.
Michelle is a straight-talking, engaged therapist who keeps sessions real. Expect humor, clarity, and a focus on getting to the heart of what’s going on. The work is collaborative and goal-oriented, with an emphasis on meaningful change rather than endless talking.
Michelle earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Mount Royal University and a Master of Arts in Counselling from Yorkville University. She is a Certified EMDR Therapist, trained in Flash Technique and Ego State Therapy, and a Gottman Method Level 3 Trained Couples Therapist, including Trauma, Affairs, and Couples Addiction Recovery.
EMDR, Flash Technique, Ego State Therapy, and an IFS-informed lens are integrated in individual therapy, helping clients work with protective patterns rather than against them. In couples therapy, she uses the Gottman Method, supporting partners to interrupt reactive cycles, improve communication, and rebuild trust. Her work is grounded, collaborative, and human, providing a safe space where clients can explore patterns, process experiences, and make meaningful change.
She specializes in trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, grief, self-esteem, life transitions, relationship conflict, and affairs/addiction recovery.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys ball hockey, board game cafés, and spending time outdoors, balancing her life with play, curiosity, and connection.

Alyssa supports clients who are seeking deeper self-understanding, nervous system regulation, and more grounded ways of relating to themselves and the world around them.
Alyssa’s work is rooted in a trauma-informed, somatic and humanistic approach. Her approach integrates meaning-making, intuition, and inner wisdom as essential aspects of the therapeutic process.
Her path into counselling emerged through a process of self-alignment that clarified this work as her ikigai, where meaning, service, and purpose meet. Alyssa holds a Diploma in Professional Counselling from Rhodes Wellness College. Her therapeutic style is client-centred, warm, grounded, and relational, balancing clinical insight with genuine human connection. She integrates Flash Technique, somatic approaches, emotion-focused therapy, narrative, and nervous system regulation to support healing that is both embodied and sustainable. Alyssa brings together professional training, certifications, and lived experience in a holistic practice that recognizes resilience, complexity, and the non-linear nature of healing.
Outside of clinical work, Alyssa values practices that foster grounding, balance, and connection to the natural world. She is deeply influenced by eco-psychology and life philosophies that emphasize the reciprocal relationship between human well-being and mother Earth. Alyssa finds restoration in nature, particularly being near the ocean, and through activities such as surfing and hiking, which inform her appreciation for presence, resilience, and embodied awareness.
