Trauma Therapy and Attachment Therapy

Trauma Treatment & Attachment Injury Therapy

Trauma and attachment therapy explores the impact of past experiences on your emotions, nervous system, and behaviour. Through evidenced-based approaches, therapy focuses on resolving trauma, repairing attachment wounds, and fostering resilience, self-awareness, and healthier ways of relating.

Gottman Method Couples Therapy

Couples therapy focuses on identifying and shifting patterns that create conflict or distance. Using the Gottman Method, therapy supports better communication, emotional connection, and trust, while helping partners respond more skillfully and build lasting relationship satisfaction.

Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy explores your thoughts, emotions, and patterns of behaviour. Using evidence-based approaches, therapy supports self-awareness, coping, and personal growth, helping you build resilience and emotional well-being.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain reprocess and heal from unresolved memories and emotional distress using gentle guided eye movements or bilateral stimulation. It supports your brain’s natural way of processing experiences without needing to relive them.

The World Health Organization recognizes EMDR as an effective treatment for trauma and PTSD. EMDR is also recommended or acknowledged by major mental health authorities, including:

    • American Psychological Association (APA)

    • American Psychiatric Association (APA)

    • U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)

    • U.S. Department of Defense (DoD)

    • Canadian Psychological Association (CPA)

EMDR is widely used to help with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, grief, and major life transitions, and many clients notice reduced emotional distress, increased confidence, and greater emotional control as past experiences become less overwhelming.

  • The Flash Technique is a gentle, modern trauma-processing method based on EMDR. It helps the brain reprocess distressing memories while you stay in a positive, resourceful state—often using music, movement, stories of fun or exciting events, or other uplifting activities.

This approach is ideal for trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and overwhelming memories, especially when traditional exposure feels too intense. Many clients notice rapid relief, increased confidence, and greater emotional control.

  • Have you ever thought to yourself, “one part of me wants this, another part of me wants that” or “on one hand I think this, on the other hand I think that.”

This is a completely normal human experience of inner conflict.

    We are IFS-informed and trained in Ego State Therapy, offering a flexible, integrative approach to trauma and emotional challenges. Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Ego State Therapy help identify and resolve internal conflicts within yourself;

This approach pairs well with EMDR and Flash Technique, helping clients stay grounded while processing difficult memories. The intention is greater inner connection and peace, increased self-control, and improved resilience.

  • Gottman Couples Therapy helps couples break unhelpful patterns and rebuild connection without assigning blame. At our clinic, we focus on fighting the patterns that show up in the relationship rather than fighting each other, creating a safe space where both partners feel heard, understood, and supported. With our specialized training in the Gottman Method, we provide practical tools to repair conflicts, strengthen intimacy, and foster lasting emotional connection.

Our team is also trained in applying Gottman principles to complex relationship challenges, including couples’ addiction recovery, trauma, and affairs/betrayals, supporting couples through high-stress circumstances with empathy, structure, and evidence-based strategies.

Gottman Couples Therapy can help couples:

    • Break recurring negative patterns and improve communication

    • Rebuild trust after affairs or betrayals

    • Navigate addiction recovery as a couple

    • Strengthen emotional connection, intimacy, and partnership

    • Manage stress, trauma, and life transitions together
